Chris Oliver casts his eye over Thursday's racing and runs us through his three best bets on Hove's evening programme.

Unusually for a Thursday, there is no open racing on the menu today and our focus is on the all-graded card at Hove this evening.
One who stands out with excellent claims at the Sussex track is Yougo Finn (T3), who is fancied to make the most of a drop in class at 6.42. Seamus Cahill’s dog made all in an A3 as recently as September 28 and showed smart early speed again at that level on Sunday, so has a good chance to cut loose now dropped into an A4. An A2 winner in the summer, he should prove tough to peg back if getting on the bunny in this company.
Another capable of pacing up into a winning lead appears to be Amys Onthe Run (T6) in the A4 at 7.33. Tony Taylor’s bitch did just that when a trap-to-line scorer in this grade four starts ago and was unlucky not to get loose when dropped back in class last Friday. With a lovely make-up in stripes outside a vacant trap, she should have all the room she needs to make full use of her early dash.
Pips Gamble (T3) caught the eye when beaten less than a length on her debut on Saturday and she can show the benefit of that experience in the A9 at 8.59. The May ’24 puppy has scope for plenty of improvement on that introduction and may not have to find much in order to make it second-time lucky.
