The way the track ran last week gave a fair boost to the outside runners so for Gothic Abbess to win her A3 from the red jacket suggests that it is a run that needs to be marked up. She heads into open race company tonight in a maiden with a vacant trap to her immediate right. She will need to trap well again to ensure that she paces up at least level with Champagne Zombie outside her, but she should be more than capable of adding another win to her CV.
A sprint contest at 7.51 can see Moaning Gentile add a third straight win to his record. It has been a while since he was last seen in action but a gap of four weeks should not see too much ring rust built up. He is a natural trapper and a repeat of his winning runs over this track and trip from December would be more than enough.
Savana Cosmic has an easier field to battle this evening than last week when she was taking on a red-hot runner in Westfield Vicky and on a track that would not have helped Michelle Brown's runner on the inside. That run was rock solid and her beating of Category One finalist Golden Palace the run before is standout form in this sort of company.
