*** Savana Ribena - 8.26 Suffolk Downs
** Favourite Rogue - 6.29 Star Pelaw
* Savana Sprite - 8.09 Suffolk Downs
For a bitch with a D2 Oxford win on her card Savana Ribena has been incredibly slow to stride in her two starts at this track over the 388m distance. Those who have watched those two runs, however, will have seen her taking off after the line to the pickup. She tries 548m for the first time here which should help her and as just a June 24 whelp, there should be plenty more to come from her.
The 6.29 at Star Pelaw is a decent little sprint with the pair top and bottom looking the ones who will fight this out. Chippy Chase is a decent type and is always much respected when he has the red jacket on his back. In Favourite Rogue, however, he has a younger rival who has been in flying form and the wide runner is expected to come out on top.
Savana Sprite steps up to 388m here for the first time after a couple of wins over the sprint trip. Those have been the two quickest times over the two-bend trip since the track reopened and with a couple of wins at Kilkenny in the summer over 525y, there should be no question that the longer trip will be fine.
