Tuesday tips - October 14
There is open racing at Star Pelaw this evening and Chris Oliver runs us through his three best bets of the card.

Tuesday tips
***Marleypark Ken (T3, 7.24 Star Pelaw)
**Marymount Joy (T6, 7.58 Star Pelaw)
*Ballyhimikin Ivy (T4, 6.46 Star Pelaw)
The focus on Tuesday is on Star Pelaw's evening card and Glenn Foot is fancied to get on the scoresheet at 7.24 courtesy of Marleypark Ken (T3). The son of Ballymac Bolger led until the dying strides when second over 590m here last time out and should appreciate this drop back in trip. He won well from the front in a similar open over this 435m trip last month and, with a good draw in the white jacket, he is fancied to turn in front again.
Another who can make first run count is Marymount Joy (T6), who is fancied to make full use of a nice make-up in stripes to cut loose in the 435m maiden at 7.58. The Scott Storrie-trained bitch has bundles of early speed, as evidenced by her facile D2 success last week, and she hacked up in an A3 over this distance the time before. She is very much a bitch in form and this doesn’t look the strongest of maiden contests.
Ballyhimikin Ivy (T4) was beaten less than three lengths by winner Clona Curly over six bends here on her latest outing and she has a lot less on her plate in the 590m maiden at 6.46. An A1 winner at Sunderland in August, Dean Blackbird’s bitch should come on for her first look round this circuit and she is expected to turn much more prominently as she drops in class today.
