Underdogs Launch Party at Star Pelaw on Thursday night
Louise Powell's debut novel Underdogs gets its official launch party at Star Pelaw on Thursday night where the author will be signing copies of the book.

We mentioned back in April that Louise Powell's debut novel Underdogs would be launched on July 2 by JM Originals. The novel is based at the flapping tracks in the north of England and features the story of 10-year-old George, his dad Reg and a dog named Goldie.
Star Pelaw have stepped up to help launch the book, moving their Friday night meeting this week to Thursday to coincide with the launch of the book.
All winners of the evening’s races will be given a free dedicated copy of Underdogs. There will also be opportunities to buy the book from a local independent bookseller and get them signed by Powell herself.
There are 10 races on the card with the first at 6.04 and the final contest off at 8.43.
