Coral Essex Vase

Punters at Romford on Friday night may well be hoping for a slightly easier time of things than the heats of the Coral Essex Vase gave them last week. The 'right' dogs went through in terms of the big names but there were more than a few surprises in the heats along the way.

As a competition, it is still very wide open with the top six in the betting all more than capable of landing the prize on their day, and connections of some of those lower down the order will be thinking that they are far from out of it if there are a few more shocks to be had this week.

7/2 New Destiny

4/1 Tiffield Tarquin

5/1 Gary The Arb

8/1 Antigua Kestrel

10/1 Silverhill Adam

16/1 Fabulous Sonique

18/1 Table Toppers

22/1 Out The Blue

28/1 Burrows Charm

Arena Racing Company Cesarewitch

The competition at Central Park on Saturday night looks a little more straightforward in terms of the betting with Mongys Wild a short price to do what is required over the next two weeks. There are still some very smart stayers in here with him, however, which hopefully will provide a superb final on the 24th.

4/7 Mongys Wild

4/1 Romeo Empire

8/1 Deadly Disco

12/1 Ballymac Madgie

16/1 Crafty Prospero

20/1 Princess Matilda

50/1 Reality Power

66/1 Aphantasia

80/1 Rockmount Rosie

100/1 Azzas Angel, Burgess Sophia
