Just a couple of days after what would have been the legendary Mick The Miller’s birthday, we have an exclusive chat with Adrian Horan - the son of his first trainer.
Sunday 29th June marked the 99th anniversary of the birth of Mick The Miller and Horan’s father, Mick, was the iconic greyhound’s handler up to 1929.
Born in Killeigh, County Offaly, in 1926, Mick The Miller won the Greyhound Derby in 1929 and 1930, as well as making the final in 1931.
Lynda Bonner spoke to Horan about all things Mick The Miller, the memories of his father and the history of the sport in Northern Ireland.
