Wallis stars to return at Towcester
Proper Heiress and Mongys Wild are set to feature in a star-studded trial session at Towcester on Wednesday 2nd July.
Having already won the Ladbrokes Winter Derby and ARC Kent Plate this year, Proper Heiress was a leading fancy for the Star Sports/TRC Greyhound Deby at Towcester after landing a red-hot renewal of the Time Greyhound Nutrition Juvenile in April.
However, the Mark Wallis-trained dog made a shock exit from the Classic in the second round and he is due to make his comeback with a workout over 270m next week.
So, too, is his kennelmate Mongys Wild, who was a dramatic late withdrawal from the Dorando Marathon on Derby final night.
The October 2022 son of Roxholme Olaf has taken the staying scene by storm since arriving at Imperial Kennels from Ireland, producing unbeaten runs through the Time Greyhound Nutrition TV Trophy over 942m at Towcester and the PGR Golden Jacket over 684m at Monmore.
He set new track records in both of those competitions and all eyes will be on where he is aimed at next after Wednesday’s sprint trial.
Wallis also gives his highly-promising Vhagar a trial over 500m on the same day.
The February 2023 bitch could hardly have been more impressive in going unbeaten through the BetGoodwin Challenge Trophy over 712m at Towcester and she yet is another exciting staying recruit for the MWD Partnership.
Kennel stars Ballymac Taylor and Bombay Nutty are also due to trial over 500m.
