Home bred making an impression for Carol Weatherall
Carol Weatherall notched a quickfire double at Towcester on Sunday with the progressive Ari Up, stepping up into open-class successfully, after Shes Gone had made it two-from-two at the Northamptonshire track - leaving a real impression again.
Indeed, the victory of the British-bred youngster will not have gone unnoticed by breeding buffs.
A home-bred September 2024 daughter of King Sheeran and No Rush, Shes Gone is by the 2019 Produce Stakes and Olympic winner out of the 2023 English Oaks heroine - a match made in heaven.
Towcester racing manager Danny Rayment said: "Shes Gone is a really nice type - although her breeding gave her every chance!
"She made a winning debut in D3 over the 270m and won so well we let her take her chance in a D1 on Sunday, but even that two-grade lift couldn't stop her. She was away again - and with Ari Up winning the very next race it was a pretty decent 20 mins or so for Carol (Weatherall) and Darren (Holmes)."
