*** Droopys Buck - 8.31 Yarmouth

** Forgottotellya - 8.13 Yarmouth

* Aayamza Shazza - 7.39 Yarmouth

Droopys Buck is in the top five in the betting for this competition outright, and should be able get his campaign off to a flying start. He was a very quick winner of a trial stake here at the end of July before heading to Monmore for a messy contest. He stopped the clock at 16.14 in a warmup sprint spin ahead of this competition which would be fifth quickest of the year over that trip if it had been a race. He has bundles of natural speed and can start his campaign with a win.

There is an interesting clash between Forgottotellya and Romeo Ability in the 8.13. The 460m track record holder at Towcester will have to clear Patrick Janssens's dog to the opening bend but he has the speed to do so, showing that off again recently at Monmore in a trial stake for the Ladbrokes Gold Cup when beating finalist Headford Dane. The one thing he lacks at present is consistency but he is a classy type and can pass this test.

We have not seen Aayamza Shazza in race action since the final of the Brighton Belle at the end of April, but she has moved well in trials at this track to suggest that she is raring to go. She made that decider hot on the heels of a run to the final of the Ladbrokes Puppy Derby, form that took a timely boost on Monday with Underground Gold's win in the Select Stakes. She will probably sharpen up for the return to action but should be good enough in any case.
