Proper Heiress is a 9/2 chance as the Mark Wallis-trained MWD Partnership-owned English raider looks to become the first UK winner of the Irish Greyhound Derby since Toms The Best in 1997 for legendary trainer Nick Savva. Glengar Silent impressed in the semi-finals, showing excellent back straight pace and staying power. BOYLE Sports go 9/2 about the Pat Buckley-trained runner taking home the €125,000 prize money.

Magical Mag will be looking to lead round from T2 and is a 10s chance to make all on Saturday evening. Droopys Deploy will line up from T6 for trainer Robert Gleeson, and you can get 25s about the wide runner with BOYLE Sports. The outsider of the field is Barefoot On Song from T3. The Paul Hennessy-trained railer is a 33s chance with BOYLE Sports but is as big as 50s elsewhere.

The Michael Fortune Memorial Derby Plate final will also take place on Saturday, September 27 at 9.12. Run over the four-bend 503 metre trip the bookmakers have Magical Major in as the favourite with William Hill offering 6/4 about the Patrick Guilfoyle-trained runner. Skybet, Paddy Power and Betfair Sports go evens about the October 2023 son of King Sheeran, so as ever, it’s imperative to shop around for the best prices on offer.
