Craske has the latest laugh in Yarmouth's track championship
The final of the 2025 Track Championship at Yarmouth on Boxing Day saw a win for Jane Craske's Laugh Alot in what was her runner's 100th career race!

Laugh Alot gains special win in race 100
Yarmouth were delighted with a bumper Boxing Day crowd and another successful running of the Yarmouth Track Championship Grand Final, the 68th running of the unique graded kennel sweepstakes.
Victory went to the Jane Craske-trained Laugh Alot in a race which also doubled as the Laugh Alot Centennial Club Trophy, marking the 100th run of the October 21 daughter of Pestana and Power Driven who lined up as the oldest and most experienced finalist in the 462m decider but showed rivals a clean pair of heels to win in 27.81sec.
Yarmouth promoter Simon Franklin said: “We had a superb Boxing Day crowd of over 900 with a sold out restaurant and executive lounges and everyone enjoyed their afternoon here with some top-notch racing.
“For me, the pick of the winners have to be Jane Craske’s Laugh Alot in the Track Championship and Irene Barnard’s Papa Roy in the top division of the Double J Feeds Veterans Race.
“Irene and Jane were kennel girls when we had the stadium kennels over 40 years ago, starting their greyhound training careers right here. Congratulations to both.
“As everyone knows, the industry and stadium activities never stop. We had the stock car racing on Saturday and then the greyhounds were back on Sunday morning for a first race of 11.34am!”
Commenting on the two notable winners on the day, Yarmouth racing manager Lee Smith said: “The veterans was an A7 this year given only a few grades had enough 2021 whelps. Papa Roy well and truly deserved it.
“It would have been nice to get an A9 for the oldest dog at the track, Gone To Rome trained by Ricky Thom and who’s a June 2020, a grand sort, but we didn’t have the numbers.
“As for the 68th Track Championship, Laugh Alot did not disappoint.
“He was actually my pick for the final but only because the draw for Flashing Fender wasn’t a great one it seemed. The winner was out and away, only being challenged towards the winning line really.
“She really has done Jane and her husband proud. Jane was calling her home from the centre of the track the whole 462m, getting louder and louder! I’m sure she’s hoarse afterwards.
“To top it off, It was also Laugh Alot’s 100th race. What a way for the kennel to end the year. Well done to all involved. It was well deserved.”
