Tuesday treble for Michelle Brown

Tuesday nights are made for winners for Michelle Brown at Suffolk Downs, led by old favourite Bucking Bucks who produced the quickest of the 388m runs on the card. He was quickly away and that immediate control of his rivals saw him impossible to hold, with his natural speed well and truly on display, stopping the clock in 23.48.

Essex Abbigail has got plenty of experience for a pup, enjoying a smaller field which allowed her to get her own way on the bunny. She had not got her head in front since before Christmas. so hopefully this will help her confidence, with a 4.53 split the quickest that she has produced at the track.

A 716m contest provided Brown with the middle leg of her treble. She was last to pass the stands first time, but it opened up like the Red Sea on the inside for her around the opening bend to see her hit the front. Given her form against the likes of Romeo Empire and Princess Matilda in an ARC Cesarewitch semi-final, it would've taken some run to reel her back in again.

Just a single spot slower than Bucking Bucks was Buster Eight for Robert Copping. He made it 3/3 since joining the kennel, adding to a pair of sprint wins at Nottingham with a nine and three-quarter length win. He looks a really nice recruit for the Copping team to  go to war with.

That was not the biggest margin on the night, however, as Mallogs Freddie ran riot by 11 lengths in a maiden stayers.  He was unlucky to bump into a flying winner in Farney Millie last week in a maiden, shaping well to run up to her. He had no issue going one better.

Farney Millie was a winner on the card herself for Kevin Boon. She just dipped under 34 seconds in her maiden win, finding time on that last night to break the beam in 33.85. That is the quickest time of the year so far off a breathtaking 13.38 split. To put that in context, the sprint track record is 13.27.

Speaking of sprints, the quicker of the pair on the card went to Jason Ray's Savana Sprite. Three weeks back she had won a maiden over six bends, so it shows how adaptable she is, picking up her sixth win from just 12 starts at the track.

A maiden sprint went to Ryder Razor for Abbie Steels. He had been producing some solid times at his home track of Doncaster in recent starts and shaped like a stiffer track over a sprint trip is what he needs, getting up right on the line to grab the money. An A2 winner at Sunderland last year, a step up to 388m at this track can see him go in again.

The final race on the night saw Laugh Alot pick up her fourth win in a row over track and trip for Jane Craske, getting the better of runner-up Golden Acre on each of those four occasions. She is a remarkably consistent veteran who is a credit to her connections.

Although the winning time. that Westfield Raheem produced in his maiden win was not as quick as he has done in graded action, he made it six straight wins for Jason Smith to add to his two-bend maiden success at the track in February. His litter sister Mad For Cash won the Romford Performance of the Week last week for Nathan Hunt, more on him in a second.

One other open on the card went to Rileys Daughter for Maurice Rice. She got up on the line by the smallest margin, leaning on the runner-up as they approached the winning line.

There were a number of triallists before racing for the Nathan Hunt kennel. Key of those was Bretons Girl who flew around in a sprint trial to clock 13.50 on her first look at the track. Got The Large also moved well over 220m for Hunt while Inca Lewie produced a strong 34.13 first go over 548m
