Nottingham brace for Fradgley

Prove It and Tiermana Rocky provided David Fradgley with a pair of winners last night at Nottingham. The former was marginally the quicker of the pair who both scored over 480m. Her four career starts for the kennel to this point had all come at her home track of Kinsley but she looked to enjoy this bigger gallop, trapping best and avoiding trouble behind to pull clear.

It has been a string of seconds from Tiermana Rocky of late at Sheffield and Doncaster, getting his head in front for the first time since January 11, forcing his way up the inside at the opening bend before kicking on down the back. He has a solid strike rate of 14/59 in his career.

The performance of the night came from Adam Sear's Mr Flashy who produced a very quick 17.62 in a 305m contest. Beaten just three-quarters of a length by Good Acclaim on his last visit to the track, he faced nothing of that calibre here, taking full advantage of the opportunity.

Another pair of 480m contests went to Swift Kipper for Terry Munslow and The Other Kodi for Barry Denby. The former was the quickest of the night over the distance to make it four wins from her last six starts, picking up her first open race win in the process. A six-time top grade winner, she kicked off in A7 in December 2024 and has been a great success story for connections.

The Other Kodi was another out and gone winner on the card, back from three weeks off and ready to roll. He won five times in a six-race spell from January 8 to February 14, bringing his record to 7/13 for Denby last night. A January 24 whelp, his litter sister is dual Category One finalist The Other Winx.

There were only three spots between the two winners over 500m. It was Kelli Windebank's Hasselbomb who picked up the quicker of the two, improving massively for his first look at the track last week. He arrived from Ireland with a big reputation after clocking 28.58 in a Tralee trial.

Esther Driver picked up the other success on the night with Ballymac Aisling. She landed the first win of her career on January 28 in an A5 contest, landing six of her 10 career starts now having worked her way up the grades.
