Greyhound Racing fans in for a treat with 54 Open Races on Saturday night

Greyhound Racing fans set for bumper Saturday with big race action from Shelbourne Park and Monmore. Chris Oliver has already taken a look at Perry Barr, so we take a look at the other action from Yarmouth, Central Park, Doncaster and Oxford

Yarmouth

Six bend action kicks off the open race action at Yarmouth and it could be the chance for Bish Bosh Bashy to land a quick hat-trick. The step up in distance has worked wonders in recent weeks for this greyhound and Jason Bloomfield's runner could take the beating if hitting the front, though Borna Parachute looks to be a likely danger for Craig Morris if able to gain a clear run in the early stages

With the Click Competitions EA Derby approaching, the first of two trial stakes could go the way of the strong running Wrighty. John Mullins would have been pleased with his first start since June when runner up last time out, and could prove too strong in the later stages for Worth The Risk, with Kevin Cobbold's greyhound looking to land a five-timer

Toomuchchat suffered a costly defeat when beaten at 4/6F over course and distance last week, but Kevin Boon's greyhound is likely to improve on that run and could land his followers some compensation in this field as he looks almost certain to lead this field on the rails early doors

Craig Morris and Kevin Cobbold have a strong hand in this contest and it may go the way of the Morris greyhound Alfies Lad, who pinged the lids and made all the running in graded action last time, landing an overdue victory in doing so, and could be a spot of value to repeat those tactics again here

Six bend action again and having won in impressive fashion last week, Bogger Cash will be looking to land the double for Mark Newberry. He pulled clear in good style when leading early over course and distance and this greyhound could employ similar tactics again in this field though Ballymac Nova is sure to be staying on late and could make things interesting in the later stages

Kevin Boon could be on the winners trail again the first division of the Click Competitions EA Derby Trial Stakes with Bockos Buster, who has made all the running in both visits to Yarmouth when boasting serious early pace. Another fast start and he will look to be away and gone. Crossfield Finn has the pace to be a danger but Mark Newbury's greyhound has been hit and miss from the traps of late and can't afford a poor start here

Six bend action again, and the step up to six bends could benefit Swift Jericho, as Kevin Cobbold's greyhound has been staying on well in the later stages over four bends in recent weeks and if hitting the front here, could take some catching though Getaway Car ran a good race on debut for Craig Morris last week and he looks to be the main danger with improvement surely to come

Central Park

Heat One of the Jenningsbet Standard Trophy kicks off the Open Race action at Central Park which could go the way of Miami Yeats. Martyn Wiley makes the journey over from Romford and his greyhound has a dream draw on the rails with a vacant trap and slow starting Dangerous Brian on his outisde, so if trapping well, may just be able to build up a winning lead

A nice looking sprint contest here but it looks a good chance for Liz McNair's King Presley to get back to winning ways with a vacant box on his inside sure to assist his claims. One of his usual fast starts could see him away and gone, though kennel-mate Queen Sinead and Martyn Wiley's Daring Hoffa both hold claims should the selection not be at his best

Heat two of the Jenningsbet Standard Trophy could go the way of the strong running Head Count. Barry O'Sullivan's stayer has won three of her last four starts coming from off the pace and if close enough rounding the final bends, has every chance of adding to that tally, but Kanturk Mills has also been running well for Julie Luckhurst of late and if he hits the front, then he may not be far away again

Fiery Sally is yet to win an open race but she could get off the mark in this maiden contest. She has a cracking draw on the rails with Barnfield Piper likely to be moving middle early and Julie Luckhurst's greyhound can power through rounding the final bends for victory

Trumpers Shreq showed good early pace when making all the running in graded action last time out but he could break his open race maiden tag in this contest and if able to hit the front rounding the opening bends again, then Paul Donovan's runner could take plenty of beating though Catch My Girl battles well and looks to be a danger for Dan Brabon

Doncaster

Sprint action kicks off the open race action from Doncaster, and it looks set to go the way of Towcester handler Jason Smith's greyhound Westfield Bullet. He produced a smart trial last week and a reproduction of that performance again here ought to see him crossing the line in front

Jimmy Gaskin has Redbrick Luna running at the top of her game over two and four bends of late but could break her open race maiden tag in this contest and if able to hit the front rounding the opening bends, then she could take plenty of beating,

Phil Milner's greyhound Droopys Glam was well fancied when making all the running over course and distance last week and from a good looking draw out wide with a vacant trap on her inside, she can be expected to land the double with another all the way success, though Jimmy Gaskin's Swift Jeromo and Rose Draper's Ballymac Lawless could see that she doesn't get things all her own way

Having won both starts over this six bend distance in recent weeks, Paul Philpott's greyhound Knockard Joe looks to hold outstanding claims of landing the hat-trick in this field, and having beaten most of these rivals in doing so, then it's hard to see a reversal of form unless David Fradgley's Daring Moaner can build up an early lead on the rails

A tricky looking contest here where chances can be made for all six runners, but Keefill Goose wasn't beaten far last week behind Debbie Calvert's Bombay Fantasy, despite not producing one of his usual fast starts, and if Phil Milner's greyhound traps on terms in this contest, then he has every chance of making all the running

Milner could again be on target in the final open race of the evening with Thequietman. Early trouble put paid to his chances last week but has a vacant trap on his inside here and one of his better breaks could see him going close to making all the running, though Paul Philpott's greyhound Glengar Maggie ran a good race in defeat on that occasion and may not be far away again

Oxford

Sprint action kicks off the open race at Oxford on Saturday night where Kevin Hutton's greyhound Coppice Ronnie could come out on top. He was an impressive winner over course and distance last week and a repeat performance ought to be good enough to land the double though Nick Deas's Swift Pavlo has a nice draw to work from and is more than capable of making all the running based on last week's top grade victory

Jason Ray's greyhound Whisper Dolly was narrowly denied in her hat-trick bid in graded action last time out but could be set to break her maiden tag here and if able to hit the front on the inside again here, then she could take all the beating

Kevin Hutton could be on the mark again here with his greyhound Coppice Trophy, who has won three of his last four starts and has done so doing things either way. If hitting the front early again here, then he can add to that tally, but kennel-mate Start The Engine has won nice of his previous ten starts and if able to produce another of his flying breaks, then he looks the one they all have to beat here

Shaun Gresham's greyhound Kingdom Bucks is looking to break his open race maiden tag here and he looks to have every chance of doing so if able to turn the opening bends in a handy position, though Cunnigar Abu drawn inside could prove to be a danger and Robin Jury's runner may not be far away if close enough to the lead round the final bends

Six bend maiden action here and this could go the way of David Elcock's Swift Megan, who is looking to land a first victory but stayed on well over four bends last week after a slow start and with this distance looking as though it will suit, then she could prove too strong in the later stages

Kevin Hutton could be set to land the final open race of the evening with Rioja Maxi, who was well fancied when running out an impressive winner last week and a similar start here could see her away and gone, though Drews Fantasy was a good winner in top grade for David Lewis last time out and if his greyhound can repeat that run, then she may not be far away at the finish
