Proper Heiress- Greyhound of the Month for March

Proper Heiress is named Greyhound Racing UK Greyhound of the Month for March

Having won the award in February, Proper Heiress has been named the Greyhound Racing UK Greyhound of the Month for March - and connections will receive their trophy and special presentation jacket at Towcester on Sunday

Due to line up in the Time Greyhound Nutrition Juvenile, Proper Heiress is eyeing another big race success having landed a second Category One success of 2025 at Central Park when making all the running in the Final of the ARC Kent Plate, going unbeaten throughout and securing the March Greyhound Racing UK Greyhound of the Month for March award as a result. That makes it back to back awards, having previously landed the Ladbrokes Winter Derby Final at Monmore in show-stopping style to secure the February award (pictured below)

Trained by Mark Wallis for the MWD Partnership, the September 2022 son of Droopys Sydney and Powerful Mush blasted to a super-fast victory in the Category event Monmore event, clocking the fastest time ever for the 480m trip in winning and was equally impressive at Central Park, when recording the fastest time this year for the 491m of 28.47, and the second fastest time ever.

Very much a live Star Sports/TRC English Greyhound Derby contender, Proper Heiress takes on a field of the highest quality on Sunday in the £10,000 to the winner Juvenile, with the likes of Bockos Diamond and Wicky Ned just two of the rivals he will face

In winning the Greyhound Racing UK Greyhound of the Month award for March, Proper Heiress edged out other nominees Golden Palace (Michelle Brown), Headford Dane (Maxine Locke), Mongys Wild (Mark Wallis), Romeo Control (Diane Henry ) and Union Rebel (Kevin Hutton).
