Two finals took place at the Nevill Road circuit Hove last night with wins for Beaming Isla in the Coral 285 Sprint Trophy final at 8.07 and Kelvins Hat in the Coral 500 Bitches Trophy final at 8.24.
Beaming Isla, who was sent off at 11/4 and there wasn’t a moment's worry for supporters as the Maxine Locke-trained railer pinged out and made all to land the £500 prize money on offer in the Coral Sprint Trophy final. Odds-on favourite Broadway Murty finished second, two and a half lengths behind the winner who clocked a flying 16.17. Fastland Hoffa finished third.
The Coral 500 Bitches Trophy final at 8.24 did go to favourite backers with Kelvins Hat making all in 29.17 to reward those that snapped up the 5/6 on offer from bookmakers. Clairkeith Lana finished second from T3 over four lengths behind the impressive winner. Teddys Sister finished third from T5 at 11s.

Two heats of the Coral 695 Stayers Trophy took place at 6.42 and 6.59 over the six-bend trip. The first heat went to Minstrels Six in 42.02 at 4s with three quarters of a length back to Droopys Mikado in T1. Join In finished third just over a length further back from T2. The second heat at 6.59 was won in impressive fashion by Deadly Disco with the Richard Rees-trained July 2022 son of Ballymac Bolger leading off the sixth bend to record a three-and-a-half-length victory in 41.96 to reward those that took the 4/9 on offer with bookmakers. Ower Smasher (T2) stayed on well to grab second with Barbie Bullet (T5) in third.

Three heats of the Coral Winner of One 500 Trophy heats were next up over the four-bend 500-metre trip. The first heat at 7.16 went to Betting Buddies from T6 in 29.48 with Broadway Shay second from T3 beaten a head. Odds-on favourite Zenith Aslan missed the break from T1 and finished third. Heat two at 7.33 went to the Belinda Green kennel with Raebella Bullet making all from T1 in 29.18 at Evens. Droopys Stat finished second, beaten one and a half lengths by the impressive winner. The third and final heat at 7.49 went to Antigua Luigi from T2 in 29.52 at 3s. The Jason Heath-trained railer had to ride a bump early on but once in the lead he kicked for home and took the race by a length and three quarters with Rebel Charles (T1) in second.
Division A of the Coral Thursday Night 500 Standard went to Burrows Charm from T1 with the Jason Heath-trained railer hitting the front at the third bend before powering clear to take the race by over four lengths in 29.41 at 5/2. Ballydarly Jack (T4) finished second with Swords Hero (T2) back in third. Division B went to the Carl Gardiner-trained railer Droopys String with a quick-away-made-all success in 29.19 from T1 at 5/2. Tea For Me (T3) turned handy but could never quite reel in the leader and finished second beaten three quarters of a length. Division C at 6.08 went to Fantasy Alex from T4 in 29.53 with race favourite Mossrich Kylie in second from T5.
Division A of the Coral Thursday Night 500 Maiden at 8.59 went to lightly raced Posh Rocket from T3 in 29.73. He looks like a smart prospect for the Maxine Locke kennel and took this in taking fashion. Razldazl Beau (T6) finished second and will come on loads for the run and is another worth taking out the race. Division B of the Maiden at 6.26 saw Clona Bingo lead at the third bend and take the race by just over three lengths in 29.36 at 15/2. Droopys Prospect finished second from T4 with Shes One Eighty (T1) in third.
Newcastle open report
The Arena Racing Company stayers open at 8.19 over the six-bend 640-metre trip went to odds-on favourite Sunnyside Broxi at 1/2 from T1 in 39.01 with Greenwell Bolt second from T4 at 7/2. Broxi led round and made all with Bolt staying on well to grab second. Bolt is lightly raced over six-bends and looks a nice prospect for the Flaherty kennel.
The ARC Bitches open race at 8.36 also saw favourite backers collecting with Coppice Saphire hitting the front off the final bend to land the race in 28.87 to reward those that took the 4/6 on offer. Innfield Storm (T1) finished second, three lengths behind the impressive winner.
A little early on, Racenight Jane took the Arc Puppy open race 6.53 with a dominant display from the front. The October 2023 daughter of Glengar Bale paced up well into the corner and drove the bend well to hit the front and power clear down the back straight to record 28.68 at 3s. Bramble Shelby (T4) finished second beaten two and a quarter lengths.
The Arc Sprint open at 7.11 saw High Jack (T5) make all at 7/4 in 17.07 with Tinnock Lynx (T1) in second at 15/8. The forecast paid £5.98. Jack has now won five of his last six races around Newcastle and is clearly in top form at the moment.
Next up were two divisions of the Arc Maiden. The first at 7.27 saw a neck separate Howay Tonali (T4) and Wraysbury Angel (T3) with the Jimmy Fenwick-trained Tonali landing the race in 28.79 at 11/10. Division two at 7.44 saw Alnwick Harry (T2) finish well to take the race in 28.89 and deny Cahermone Best (T1) who led off the final bend.
