Three graded selections this evening across the cards at Yarmouth and Nottingham.
The nap of the night is trap two Isthatmyfella in the D2 at Yarmouth at 6.48pm. He was a tad disappointing in an open race over C&D last time out finishing fifth with Lissan Light and Our Boy Ben ahead of him but if the best of Isthatmyfella shows up he should be more than capable of winning this. He needs to clear Who Dares Wins on his inside early so he can drive the bend, and if doing so he can go on to pick up a first victory since May 9 at Romford.
The next best is Acejukeboxpopper from trap one in the A1 at Yarmouth at 9.23pm. he is another who has been disappointing since returning to competitive action, however, he has shown his capabilities by clocking 27.78 over C&D in a trial prior to his two races back. If trapping well he can hold his line into the bend giving to turn in a better position and from there he gives himself a chance so at a fair price he is worth siding with.
The third bet of the evening is trap six Ballymac Archer in the 500m Handicap at Nottingham at 8.01pm. Being off the back and having to give trap one Rockley 15m is a big ask but the strong running Ballymac Archer (who is yet to win a race since moving from Sheffield) can weave his way through the field to pick up the pieces in a race that could suit. He should be far enough behind Piemans Fairy who is receiving three metres on Ballymac Archer to avoid her at the first and second bend where he can then start to motor to close the gap on his rivals.
