The eight-bend 900 metre quickest time of the year is 56.01 recorded by Swift Jarvis on Ladbrokes Summer Stayers and Gold Cup finals night. Sent off as the 11/10 second favourite the Hove raider led at the seventh bend, beating local runner Champys Girl by just over a length.
An interesting stat on the Greyhound Stats website is the average winning time in graded company. Top grade A1s around Monmore are won around the 28.54 mark, with A2 grade 20 spots slower at 28.74.
