National Greyhound Week kicks off in style
The start of National Greyhound Week saw big crowds enjoying the action at Monmore, Central Park and Nottingham on a sunny Bank Holiday Monday.

NGW up and running
National Greyhound Week (NGW) got off to a flying start on Monday.
Returning for its third consecutive year, NGW is a celebration of licensed British greyhound racing and has become a key fixture in the racing calendar, drawing both seasoned enthusiasts and new fans to the track.
Monmore kicked things off in style as they welcome their biggest crowd for over a year to their afternoon meeting,
A great turnout saw families enjoying the racing in the Bank Holiday sunshine, as well as an ice cream van, face painting and a meet & greet with retired greyhounds from Greyhound Trust Wolverhampton.
In addition, Monmore raised funds for both Prostate Cancer UK and Children With Cancer UK via a charity raffle

Central Park also staged a family fun day and the afternoon event was very well received.
As well as the 10-race card, racegoers at the Sittingbourne venue enjoyed free entertainment, face painting and a special family zone.
The GBGB were also present at Monmore and Central Park with their NGW Roadshow. This involves GBGB representatives, including Regional Regulatory Vets, being present to speak with spectators about everything from getting involved with ownership to homing a retired racer.
The attention then turned to Nottingham on the evening with a top-class card at the Colwick Park circuit.
Crowds flocked to witness the big-race action, with the ARC Puppy Classic final featuring alongside the valuable ARC Select Stakes and ARC Select Stayers.
