Saturday report, Monmore, Central Park, Doncaster and Yarmouth
There was plenty of open class action on Saturday, with Monmore, Central Park, Doncaster and Yarmouth all hosting opens during the day.

Taberner and Griffiths notch Monmore trebles
It took just three trainers to share out the eight opens at Monmore on Saturday. Richie Taberner collected the first open of the night with Noduff Alpha. The 18-month-old pup was a smart D1 winner on his race debut and despite missing his break on his first open race start, he powered to the front at the opening bend and kept digging in. Aero Bale was also a sprint winner for the kennel before the hat-trick was completed over six bends by Aero Academy.
Gary Griffiths was responsible for the quickest sprint winner of the night in Ruinthelonggame. He had only been seen race action over four bends since arriving from Ireland but the drop to sprinting clearly suited, clocking the sixth quickest time of 2025, 15.21. Vampire Bob and Jayne Louise picked up the other Griffiths wins, the latter a 12/1 surprise in a field that contained Pavilion Team and Newinn Bachelor.
Although Mark Wallis was out of luck with Pavillion Team, he picked up the last two opens on the night. Newinn Cloud got on top late in a 630m contest before Table Toppers beat kennelmate Silverhill Adam to close out the night. It has been 13 months since Silverhill Adam was last in race action, so hopefully he can repay the patience of connections.
Brabon with a Central Park treble
The initial open of the night saw Blastoff Kobbie force a dead heat right on the line to give Dan Brabon the opening leg of his treble. Martindale Lad and Devonshire Lad would complete it with wins over two and six bends respectively to complete a clean sweep of available distances won.
Cinderella Tell was the other dead heater in the opener, representing Paul Donovan. Sevenofdiamonds would give the kennel a double, picking up a sprint with a 9/1 surprise. It was not as big a surprise as the 14/1 win for Chloes Lexie in the finale, however. She was a long overdue first open race winner of the year for Robert Emery who had raided Crayford to great effect in recent years.
Barry O'Sullivan also picked up a double on the card. Brinkleys Betty and Cinderella Blake both turned over odds on favourites to secure their wins. It was a busy night over six bends at the Kent track with Hasty Lottie, Marvellous Mabel and Earls Ruby all winning staying contests for David Puddy, Luke Morrison and Julie Luckhurst respectively.
Mamba brings up Doncaster hat-trick
Saturday night trips to Doncaster have proven to be fruitful for the Michelle Brown kennel in recent weeks, leaving with a treble last night. Roanna Mamba has scored three weeks in a row, those three successes all in the top five sprint times of 2025 there.
Tomahawk also added his name to the top five times of the year with his success, this time over 450m. He had been behind Brinkleys Louis seven nights back but turned the form around when it mattered in the £750 final. Essex Abbigail rounded out the winners for Brown.
Daring Moaner and Stonepark Wes are standing dishes at Doncaster of late and the pair formed two-thirds of a treble of winners for David Fradgely. Tiermana Lucky had got the winners started for the kennel, turning over an odds on shot before the regulars added to their impressive local tallies.
There was a big-priced double for Ricky Overton, paying 152/1 at SP as Ruffian Roundy and Zari Lizzy picked up their respective contests. Our Big Bill was the other winner on the card for Kirsty Grayson.
Breton Molly lands third quickest Yarmouth 659m of the year
Some big names were in action at Yarmouth in the afternoon with Breton Molly producing a smart staying time for Patrick Janssens. Her 40.08 has only been bettered by a pair so far this year and it was her first look back at the track since September of last year.
There are not many more popular veterans in the country at present than Wrighty and John Mullins's charge got his head in front in a 462m contest. It was win number 27 in his career.
Miss Bossy landed the other four bend contest on the day for Erica Samuels. Air Max picked up the sprint contest for Irene Barnard while the other stayers race went to Paul Rea's Noteworthy.
