Six of nine Suffolk Downs opens go the way of Michelle Brown
Another Tuesday night of complete and utter domination from Michelle Brown at Suffolk Downs saw her win six of the nine opens on the evening.

100 up for the year for Michelle Brown
Tuesday night at Suffolk Downs was once more a sensational one for the Michelle Brown team. They picked up the winners of six of the nine open races on the night and with no runners in any of the other three, at least other trainers managed to get in on the act!
23.64 from Essex Abbigail was probably just the pick of the runs, adding her name into the top 10 times of the year over 388m for the second time, just a spot slower than she went last month. She had no luck in a heat of the bet365 Puppy Oaks at Oxford when last in action but bounced back quickly to winning ways. She was winner 100 in opens for the kennel in 2025.
At 1/10, the question was merely how far when it came to Crafty Prospero over 716m. 12 and a quarter lengths was the official margin, not needing to go close to his track record time to see off his three rivals. He has now won his last three races at the track.
Bucking Bucks and Essex Gunner picked up a pair of four-bend contests. The former made up for a defeat last week with a fluent display from the front while the latter made it a double for the prefix for the second straight week. He really has the bit between his teeth at present, though he had to dig deep to hold off the closers.
Over six bends there were wins for Brown from Golden Palace and Savana Cosmic. Golden Palace had found his kennelmate Crafty Prosperro too strong over 716m last week, dropped back to six bends in style. He has Category One final form to his credit over a short six and showed his class. Savana Cosmic picked up his fourth win since the track reopened over 548m.
Moaning Gentile made it two for two at the track for Darren Whitton in a sprint contest, notching up a solid 13.63 effort. Kevin Boon won the other eight-bend contest with Joy Wild, and Frank Macklin landed the other open on the card with Bonnies Legacy.
Just two opens at Star Pelaw
Tom Heilbron and Stuart Tighe shared a sprint win at Star Pelaw with Rebel George and Bartley Hoopstar crossing the line together for the pair. 14.59 was the winning time. The other open was over 435m with Quivers View justifying favouritism for Frank Kearney.
