Suffolk Downs doubles for Brown, Craske and Ray
The Suffolk Downs opens on Tuesday night saw doubles for Michelle Brown, Jane Craske and Jason Ray on an all open race card.

A pair of doubles at Suffolk Downs on Tuesday night
The Suffolk Downs card last night was topped and tailed by a pair of Yarmouth raiding winners for Jane Craske. It was a 548m race to open the card where Table Talk made every yard of the running. An A1 winner at his home track in both November and December, it was his first open race win since last April.
Razldazl Minty landed the concluding contest, her 8/1 odds making her the longest priced winner of the night. She had won an A5 at her home track just after Christmas and looked to appreciate a night out somewhere different.
Michelle Brown picked up a pair of winners as well, with Tomahawk coming from behind Bucking Bucks to confirm the form from the week before where he had made most of the running. It was the sixth open race win of his career and his 10th overall.
Essex Gunner was Brown's other winner, that coming in a sprint contest. He had shown with a 4.51 sectional over four bends at the track in November that when he gets it right at the lids he is electric and that was very much the case last night, pinging out and having the race won within a matter of strides.
The third trainer to pick up a double on the night was Jason Ray. Whisper Dolly produced a decent time when winning a maiden sprint. It was her fourth win in her last six starts, landing an A5 and a pair of A3 races prior to this.
Ray's second winner came from Champagne Zombie who was winning her first open race win since December 2024. She has plenty of smart graded wins between the two dates, working her way up the grades at Suffolk Downs with recent A5 and A4 wins.
For the second week in a row there was an impressive win from Droopys Mikado. She had beaten some smart types last week without a look and with that experience behind her, she put right lengths into her rivals for Heather Dimmock. It feels like she is going to be a very hard bitch to beat around here in current heart.
There was a first open race winner of the year for Laura Pruhs as Ballintee Uno hit the front early on in a six-bend contest and was in no mood to relinquish the lead. She is only a March 24 whelp, so there should be more to come from her, already a winner of six of her 19 races.
Emers Summer was away and gone for Frank Macklin in the other open race on the night. A race with all six runners being seeded, it was a help for her to be out on the lead. She had got the better of Bucking Bucks in a contest just before Christmas over track and trip, showing solid form her again to land a fifth win in 10 starts since arriving from Ireland.
