Suffolk Downs trebles for Brown and Craske
There was open class racing on Tuesday evening at Suffolk Downs and Star Pelaw. Michelle Brown and Jane Craske both picked up a treble at the first of those.

10 races, four winning trainers at Suffolk Downs
Michelle Brown, Jane Craske, Laura Pruhs and Frank Macklin had the Suffolk Downs card to themselves last night. The first two named both went home with a treble of winners, with the other two picking up a pair each.
Brown had the quickest of the winners over 388m as Tomahawk produced a 23.47 effort to take the lead in the fastest of the year to this point. He has taken a real liking to the track, winning three of his last five there.
Roanna Mamba stepped back up to four bends for the first time since October when he was third in a heat of the Guys and Dolls to win in 23.52. His sprinting pace took him to a flying 4.44 split and his two remaining rivals were unable to lay a glove on him.
Brown also had the opening winner of the night with Goldcash Prince. It was just his second start at the track, also a winner on his first try back in January. He found plenty of trouble in the opening round of the Northern Puppy Derby, so it was good to see that he was not affected by that.
Jane Craske only brought four dogs along and went home with three winners. Reigning Yarmouth Track Champion Laugh Alot picked up another win to back up her success from last week. She timed her challenge well to grab Emers Summer who had flown out and made almost all of the running.
New Ground was sent off very short to land a six-bend contest, though he got a little lost on the second bend. That caused some issues for his rivals who were already in a bit of a tangle but once he got his head to the front, there was only ever going to be one result.
The treble was brought up by Razldazl Minty who popped out in front and gradually went further and further clear to score by more than six lengths. She was a four-bend winner at the track last month, off the mark at the third time of asking over the 548m distance.
It has taken a while for Dellser Paidi to land his maiden sprint, but those who kept the faith at the eighth time of asking were rewarded at odds of 8/1. The Laura Pruhs-trained winner has had no issues picking up graded sprints but this level had proved a stumbling block until last night. He's only a February 24 whelp, so he has plenty of time to build on this.
Pruhs doubled up with Come Back Kid who took the final race of the evening, a 388m contest. A top grade sprint winner at Towcester, he has been ticking over nicely with graded wins at Suffolk Downs since the start of December.
Sober Gemstone was turned over at a short price in that final race with Frank Macklin in search of a hat-trick at that point. Tell On Aimee has been in solid form over the 548m distance, just getting the better of Farneys Tearaway, timing her challenge to grab the money right on the line.
The Macklin double was started by Bit View Bella. She was a very slick winner of an A3 on her most recent start, clearly on good terms with herself at the moment, making every yard of the running in a rock-solid 23.85.
Galloway tops 2025 total already
It has been a flying start to 2026 for the kennel of Rab Galloway, picking up another open race winner last night at Star Pelaw. Grantstown Cross was his seventh of the year, topping the six open races that Galloway won in 2025. It was a fourth win for the dog from just nine starts since joining a kennel who are well on their way to topping their career best of 11 open race winners from 2023.
The other four-bend open on the card was won by Tom Heilbron's Links Ginola. It was a second open race win at the track for the June 24 pup, producing an excellent 4.47 split which put him quickly in control of his field and on his way to the best run of his career so far.
A sprint on the card was won by Henry Young's Tromora Grace. She has won four of her seven opens since the start of November but this was the first time that she has won over two bends. Her 14.56 winning time suggests that the drop back opens up more avenues for her in the future.
