Sunday Open Report - Janssens enjoys a Towcester four-timer
There was open racing at Towcester, Sheffield and Valley on Sunday, we round up all the winners.

Janssens with a Towcester four-timer
There were 12 open races at Towcester on Sunday with a third of them being won by Patrick Janssens. Pick of them was Not So Slow who once more showed his name to be an understatement, clocking a 15.45, just 10 spots off Aero Sacundai's track record.
Romeo Steel was fastest of the three 500m winners for Janssens in 29.07. He was unfortunate to be dealt a difficult second round Derby heat, with Fabulous Aria scoring in 29.14, another who didn't fare well in the Derby draw. Romeo Ability was the other winner on the card for the kennel in a race of changing fortunes late on.
There was a double for Maxine Locke with Headford Asher back to the form that won him the Hove Puppy Cup. His 29.04 effort was the quickest over 500m on the afternoon. Droopys Heiress added a second winner on the card for Locke, powering home late.
Another trainer to double up was Diane Henry with Savana Jackpot and Savanaregimental in the final two races. Both were 712m contests with the former adding a 42.68 to his 42.59 from last week, only Mongys Wild has gone quicker this year. The latter built on the potential he has shown as a stayer.
The other stayers event on the card went to Carol Weatherall's Frankton Ivy, though she was out of luck with The Other Boss in the vey next race who had a rough ride though a contest which went to John Campbell's Sallowglen Hope.
Seamus Cahill got on the scoresheet with Tivoli Milo who clocked a smart 29.05. He missed out on a spot in the final of the BetGoodwin and JR Racing Maiden Derby decider by half a length and showed again that this track suits him well. Sharon Saberton wouldn't send many runners to Towcester so well done to anyone who took the hint with Gothic Volumnia scoring at 9/1!
Acomb Felix back to winning ways at Sheffield
There are few greyhounds in the country who can live with Kevin Ferguson's Acomb Felix when it comes to class and longevity combined. He kicked off his 2025 with nine straight wins, ended by a terrible draw in the BGBF British Breeders Stakes final. He picked up his heat of a 480m contest with Trevor Coote's Dapper Ted landing the other from Felix's litter sister, Acomb Irene. A sprint on the card went to Rental Crisis to continue an exceptional 2025 for David Fradgley.
Donna Davy lands both Valley opens
Just a pair of opens at Valley on Sunday, with both being won by Donna Davy. Unwanted Present added another sub 28-second win to his credit as he ran riot by 11 lengths in a 460m contest. The sprint went to Seeking Times, a recent arrival who landed a four-timer in Drumbo sprints before arriving at the Davy kennels.
