Suprstar starts a big week for Burton with a winner
There were five open races at Swindon last night with five trainers all picking up a winner.

Suprstar shows Swindon what he's made of
On a slow track, Droopys Suprstar showed that Swindon's 682m trip is no issue for him. He is getting used to six bends now and it will be interesting to see if Michael Burton steps his runner back up to 712m at Towcester where he made his six-bend debut, getting very tired late on. Valley's 645m distance was no issue to him and he showed last night that he is getting stretched back out.
His four-bend pace is always going to make it hard for genuine stayers to live with him to halfway. While his stamina is ebbing away late on as it did last night, he is going to be able to kill off plenty of races from the front over the longer trip.
Southfield Queen continued her sparkling form for Paul Foster, seeing off Dashing Dude in a sprint contest for the second week in a row. She has four wins from her last five starts, a pair over the sprint trip and a couple over 476m, showing plenty of adaptability.
The quickest of the four bend winners on the night was Danish Ruby for Robert Short. She has won four of her six starts since arriving from Ireland where she had signed off with a smart win at Cork. She has won a sprint at Nottingham as well as a 480m at Perry Barr already.
Dalton Smith had the shortest-priced winner on the card with Vancouver Monty adding a first open race success to his A3 win from earlier in the month. He won two of his three starts in Ireland as well so knows how. to get his head in front.
At the other end of the scale, the surprise on the night came from Pat Godfrey's Arthur Cucumber who picked up her first open race win since last July. She hit a hot patch when the sun started shining last year so she could be worth keeping on the right side of.
