The Derby challenge starts for the Irish with the Paul Hennessy team
Friday afternoon saw a number of very interesting triallers before racing, including four runners for dual English Derby winning trainer Paul Hennessy.

Strong trials from Team Hennessy
Paul Hennessy has won the English Derby twice in the past but is yet to land one at Towcester. Jaytee Jet took the last Derby run at Wimbledon in 2016 with Priceless Blake taking the first to be run at Nottingham three years later.
Lennies Desire was the quickest of the three runners that were seen over the Star Sports & Orchestrate Ltd English Greyhound Derby trip of 500m. Although he was the slowest of the three to the split, he moved well to clock 28.86. That should hardly be a surprise given that he produced a track record breaking run last summer!
Coloursaregreen was runner-up in the Maiden Derby at Shelbourne last August, winning on his most recent start at the same track at the end of February in a decent 28.38. He was in front of December's Kingdom Derby first and second Solo And Go and Crossfield Matt on that occasion.
The third to take on 500m was Priceless Romeo, a quarter-finalist in the Irish Derby last year in a heat won by eventual champion Cheap Sandwiches. He kicked off his career in the Future Champion Unraced at Enniscorthy this time last year and should come on plenty for the look.
There was also a sprint trial on the card for Lennies Eddie who raced to a decent 15.81, with a further 10 to come off for the going. He has had only five starts in his career so far, a very impressive winner in 28.16 at Limerick earlier on this month.
