Aero golf day set for July

Stuart Forsdike, the leading owner and breeder, is once again hosting the Aero Greyhounds Golf Day in aid of retired greyhounds at Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club on July 24 - and is looking for individuals or teams to take part, as well as sponsors.

This is the fourth year the event has been staged with monies raised heading to Home Run Hounds and prizes on the day will include those for top individuals and teams on a stableford format plus longest drive and nearest-to-pin.

Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club is near Kidderminster in Worcestershire and, in picturesque surroundings, organiser Forsdike expects another great day to be had by all.

“It’s always great fun, but we’re raising money for the dogs as well, which is great and everyone has been really generous over the years and I’m sure this year will be no different,” said the ‘Aero’ man, who has urged anyone wishing to get involved or who wants further details to email him at [email protected].

There will be a shotgun start at 11am on July 24 with breakfast provided beforehand and dinner and drinks afterwards.

A charity raffle and auction will also be held and various events on the day will include a Beat The Pro game and chipping and putting competitions.

Sponsors are being sought across the board - see below - and Forsdike has issued a rallying call for these.

“Any support is gratefully received,” he said. “Home Run Hounds is a fantastic charity for retired greyhounds but also supports disabled people to have equality, choice and independence.”
