Young the man at Hove on Thursday
Paul Young registered a brilliant 207/1 four-timer on Hove’s open-race card on Thursday evening.
The pick of his winners came in the Coral 500 Maiden Trophy final as Noellie overcome a slow start and early traffic problems to score in style.
The 13/8 favourite railed round the opening bends into second place and took it up from Burrows Ace off the last bend, before keeping on to beat Yougo Jazz by a length and a quarter.
The Burton Lodge handler won all the first three opens of the night, starting with Mahoonagh Hoffa (6/5fav), who was soon in command in the 285m sprint and never looked like being caught.
His kennelmate Bowmers Sheeran sprang a 5/1 surprise when landing the Coral Thursday Night Winner Of One 500, while Feeling The Love was also 5/1 when taking the Coral Thursday Night 500 Maidens with ease.
Belinda Green’s Raebella Bullet built on at gutsy success in the heats to justify 10/11 favouritism in the Coral 500 Bitches Trophy final, dominating from the front to beat Miss Syd by two and three-quarter lengths.
There were also three heats of the Coral 500 Standard Trophy on the menu and Clona Kody (2/1) went quickest when making all from Pawsome Bullet in 29.56.
In the other heats, Droopys Jive won well at 7/1 from Droopys String in 29.61, while Dazl Hermes (100/30) came out on top in a battle with Gur Gur Granville to stop the clock at 29.60.
Minstrels Six made every yard a winning one with a comfortable success over 695m as the 5/4 favourite, while Kilcash Jack (5/1) got on the scoresheet for Gemma Byford with a last-gasp success over 285m.
Westwind Ace landed the final open of the night with a smart burst of early speed enabling him to make all by two and a half lengths at 2/1.
There were also opens at Newcastle where local handler Tom Heilbron recorded a double, starting with Droopys Link.
The 11/4 chance raced into the lead at the third bend before going on to beat Blackhouse Lewi by half a length in 28.47 (+20), while his kennelmate Ballymac Sargie (8/15fav) was very impressive when hacking up from the front in a smart 28.30 (+30).
The Paul Rutherford-trained Wraysbury Angel was a facile trap-to-line winner over 480m in 28.43 (+20), while Droopys Trigger (11/8fav) did the business in 28.69 (+20) for Savva Roberts.
