Triple Header of Category One finals on Saturday night
There are three Category One finals on Saturday night, the Ladbrokes Puppy Derby at Monmore, the Arena Racing Company Kent Plate at Central Park and the bet365 Hunt Cup at Oxford.

Ladbrokes Puppy Derby
The market is led by Underground Gold, the winner of five of his six career starts. He was superb in both rounds, dipping under 28 seconds in his heat win, the two combined by 10 and a half lengths. There is more early pace for him to clear in the final but he is very much the one to beat.
The best drawn dog in the race is Droopys Script, the only seeded runner of the six. He won both his heat and semi-final. A repeat of his 4.40 split from last week is going to see him turn close to the speed. He could capitalise on any hint of trouble inside him.
A length behind Droopys Script in the semis was Aayamza Shazza who chased home Underground Gold twice in puppy races prior to the competition. She is the sole bitch in the contest and has plenty of early pace. A draw to the inside of her main rivals gives her hope.
Droopys Vicar is the lightest raced in here, kicking off his career in the opening round of this competition. He needs to improve on the clock but as with all of them, there is plenty more to come from him.
It feels hard to see either Newinn Jolly or Bowmers Buddy winning this but both sets of connections have been done proud by their charges and they are there to take their chances.
Best Odds
4/6 Underground Gold (BresBet)
7/2 Droopys Script (Betfred, Star Sports, Paddy Power, SkyBet)
11/2 Aayamza Shazza (BresBet)
10/1 Droopys Vicar (General)
25/1 Newinn Jolly (bet365, BresBet)
66/1 Bowmers Buddy (bet365)

Arena Racing Company Kent Plate
Winner of this competition last year, Proper Heiress is back to defend is crown and is odds-on favourite to do so. He is the top four-bend performer in the country at present, building himself back to full fitness after being given a much quieter time of things at the start of the year than in 2025.
The improvement this year from Scooby The Lady has been exceptional. There might still be more to come from her given that she has not got many miles on the clock. A draw in four is going to ask a bigger question of her than either the heat or semi but she has to be a big player.
Another of the new kids on the block is Droopys Graph who is a powerful performer over this sort of trip. A slower break could actually help him here with so much early pace for him to track around. Whether he can pick them up from that position is a separate question to answer, but he is a huge talent.
Anyone who has read this site for a while will know how much of a fan I am of Burrows Charm. He can burn the candle at both ends over this trip, also staying six bends strongly, and he loves this track. He is a big price but if he can get a clean run early, he could surprise a few.
Cinderella Tell and Ballymac Axel are the two widest runners and with Scooby The Lady moving left from trap four, that will give them the opportunity to make an impact with the outside of the track to work with. Cinderella Tell is the quicker starter and ran a monster of a race last week in the semis.
Best Odds
4/6 Proper Heiress (Paddy Power, SkyBet)
7/2 Scooby The Lady (Betfred, BresBet)
6/1 Droopys Graph (bet365)
12/1 Burrows Charm (general)
16/1 Cinderella Tell (general)
18/1 Ballymac Axel (bet365)

bet365 Hunt Cup
This is the most competitive of the three finals on the betting with Resonate just about leading the way in the betting. She has the early pace to lead up the outside runners but also the stamina to keep digging in when it is required the most.
Powerhouse Duke has shown the best early pace in the competition to this point and looks set to go around in front once more. He has done well since stepped up to six bends, winning four of his five starts in staying races after landing just one of nine over shorter.
It's back to back months with a Category One final appearance for The Other Winx, finishing fourth to Mongys Wild at Monmore in the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket. She stays this trip well so her chance is going to depend on how handy she is capable of turning to the pace.
Another very strong stayer in here is Ballymac Madgie who has made the final for the second year in a row. She also made the final of the Challenge Cup back in November, with this track and trip suiting her well. She needs the gaps to open at the right time but she is a credit to connections.
Java Joan kicked off her career making the semis of the English Puppy Oaks at this track, showing solid form to finish second in her heat and semi, clocking the same time in each. She will need a little more to claim the prize but she is another with very few miles on the clock.
Remember Betty rounds out the field with plenty on her plate to pick up her first win since an 847m contest at this track in December.
Best Odds
11/4 Resonate
3/1 Powerhouse Duke
10/3 Ballymac Madgie
10/3 The Other Winx
6/1 Java Joan
33/1 Remember Betty
