The Welsh Parliament has launched a survey to understand attitudes on greyhound racing from across the country.

Senedd asking for Welsh views on the sport
The Welsh Parliament has launched a survey on greyhound racing in the country.
The Senedd is asking for Welsh residents to have their say on the sport and the questionnaire is expected to be live for a couple of weeks.
Last month, the Welsh Government introduced the Prohibition of Greyhound Racing (Wales) Bill which aims to ban greyhound racing in Wales on animal welfare grounds.
The Senedd's Culture, Communications, Welsh Language, Sport, and International Relations Committee is scrutinising the Bill and would like to gather the public's views on greyhound racing and the proposed ban, to understand attitudes from across Wales.
Wales is one of 10 countries (including the other UK countries) worldwide where commercial greyhound racing is legal. Currently there is one greyhound racing track in Wales, Valley Greyhound Stadium in Ystrad Mynach. It is licensed by the regulatory body, the Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB), which requires certain standards for the dogs.
We at Greyhound Racing UK urge anyone eligible to take part in the survey to do so as soon as possible. Your support is crucial in getting the Bill overturned.
You can find the survey here.
