Wicky Ned set to make his return to action in the Laurels

Laurels the target for Wicky Ned

Wicky Ned, the 2024 Greyhound of the Year, warmed up for a crack at Saturday's Arc Laurels with a slick 28.17sec over 480m at Dunstall Park today. 

Jimmy Fenwick's dog was joined at the session by kennelmate Elusivemore, last year's Gymcrack winner, who posted 28.39sec in a solo. 

The five-time Category One winner has not been seen in race action since a win at Nottingham at the end of August of last year.

For 36 runners, the Arena Racing Laurels starts with heats on Saturday with semi-finals on Good Friday (April 3) and the £12,500 final on Saturday, April 11.
