Most open wins in 2026
We are just a few days away from the completion of the first six months of the year. Four greyhounds topped the 20 win mark in 2025, Romeo Steel and King Presley shared the top spot with 23 victories, Fabulous Sonique took 21 and Mongys Wild completed the group with 20.
Seeing as we are just days away from the halfway mark of 2026, we thought it would be a good time to take a look into how things stand this year and see if we will be welcoming more members of the 20+ club.
11 wins
Brunch Pal
One greyhound sits alone on top in 2026 and it's Dave Lee's Brunch Pal. He has been hugely consistent this year, running 19 times to this point and winning 11 of those races.
Central Park, Hove and Romford have all seen him successful, with three of his eight defeats coming in the Derby where he was less than four lengths behind finalist Ballymac Duffle in his third round elimination.
10 wins
Good Acclaim
Roanna Mamba
Two others have reached double figures and they are both sprinters. Good Acclaim has burst onto the scene in style this year, winning the inaugural Dunstall Dash as well as setting new figures for Nottingham's 255m trip. Roanna Mamba scored 15 open race wins in 2025, winning 30 of his 65 total career starts for Michelle Brown.
9 wins
Bockos Buster
Mongys Wild
Nightingale Crew
Scooby The Lady
Nine wins for Bockos Buster came for Kevin Boon, with Savva Roberts now the man trying to get victories from the speedster. Nightingale Crew lines up in the final of the Arc Silver Salver at Central Park on Saturday night, while Scooby The Lady's nine wins has come from just 14 starts. All three should have plenty more wins to come as the year progresses.
8 wins
Blackstone Opera
Bluejig Outlaw
Catchem Boyo
Droopys Aladdin
Droopys Flare
Grantstown Cross
Lesleys Buddy
Romeo Force
Tiffield Tarquin
Underground Gold
10 greyhounds have picked up eight open race wins this year. Special credit here to both Droopys Flare and Bluejig Outlaw as they have done their winning over further than others in the list. That can also be extended in part to Tiffield Tarquin who will line up on Monday in the Coral Coronation Cup to try and add further success to his excellent campaign to this point.
