Yankee Molly and Bellmore Sally making mark as broods
A former Golden Jacket winner and another semi-finalist in that competition both had winning offspring last week, with one of them racing and beating her own son.

Golden Jacket form translating to the breeding shed
Breeding buffs might have noticed Yankee Molly and Bellmore Sally made their mark in recent days - the former putting the youngsters in the shade when regaining the winning thread at Hove well into her sixth year.
And in winning an A10 at the Sussex track on Saturday night, Ricky Holloway's strong-running sort, a one-time Golden Jacket semi-finalist, beat one of her pups!
Mother of a July 2024 batch by Scaglietti already featured on these pages, Yankee Molly was soon handy in the 500m contest at the weekend and came through strongly to beat Crohane Pearl and Chisem Dodger, the third-placed runner being the winner's son!
Another member of the litter, Chisem Naynay, had earlier won an A11, while Friday's meeting at the south coast venue saw two other members of the litter - Chisem Bubbles and Chisem Mayura - also win races, and their progress is delighting owner Roger Cearns.
He said: "They're winning low grade admittedly, but they're a nice batch and are giving us plenty of fun. Ricky's doing a great job - and that was certainly something seeing Molly back winning again and beating one of the pups in the process!"
At Newcastle, dual Golden Jacket winner Bellmore Sally got off to the perfect start in her new career in the breeding paddocks.
A former champion of the track, Jimmy Fenwick and Neil McGregor's runner is the dam of Thetimetoshine and Never Too Late, who landed debut successes at the Byker venue.
Both trained by Fenwick, and both winning in handicap company, the pair are from an August 24 batch by Tommy Shelby.
