Coral finals set for Hove

Hove on Saturday night have one of their biggest nights of the year, the dual Category One finals of the Coral Regency and Coral Sussex Cup. The first of those has a very short price at the head of the market while the latter looks like a very competitive final where a case can be made of all six of the runners. Prices from the sponsors Coral.

Coral Regency final

It is very hard to oppose Droopys Flare in the Regency final after the performances that she had put in so far in the competition. There are four other railers in there with her, so she is going to have to be on her toes to avoid any potential crowding, but she is a class above them with anything remotely resembling a clear run.

Croydon Rory took a good step forward from his first run over six bends in the heats and his second in the semis. He has the same setup in the final as he did in the semis with five railers inside him as the sole wide. That should give him excellent claims and it's not hard to see why he is the only other runner at a single-figure price.

1/4 Droopys Flare

4/1 Croydon Rory

14/1 Bonus Bullet

20/1 Bella Bullet

25/1 Fabulous Heka, Unthinkable

Coral Sussex Cup final

Two runners for Seamus Cahill in the Sussex Cup final and they are both at the head of the betting. Moving Force is the only unbeaten runner heading into the decider, runner-up in the Coral Olympic last December to Proper Heiress, looking to go one better than on that occasion.

Blackstone Opera is Cahill's other representative, the reigning Brighton Belle champion. She won that from the blue jacket, sporting red in the final from where she won her heat of this competition. Half of the field are bitches with Raebella Bullet (also a Brighton Belle finalist) and Copney Queen filling out the inside traps.

9/4 Moving Force

7/2 Blackstone Opera, Raebella Bullet

9/2 Copney Queen

6/1 Behemoth

7/1 Smokestack Saxon
