Droopys Graph makes it 3/4 since joining Patrick Janssens
Sunday afternoon saw open race contests at Towcester, Oxford and at the Valley. Droopys Graph picked up another win at the first of those for Patrick Janssens.

Graph adds another Towcester success
Droopys Graph was the main star on show once more at Towcester as he added a third win from just four starts since joining the Patrick Janssens kennel. He produced a sub four-second split on his way to a 28.70, both the best of his career to this point. He is showing an impressive level for one who is so close to the start of his career, sending out a clear warning that he is going to be a serious dog to be reckoned with in the big four-bend races this year.
He was only half a length quicker than the winner time of Newinn Deejay for Mark Wallis who produced what was the best time of his life. He has made three Category One semis in the last six months and if he can repeat this level at the right time, he might be able to go one step further.
There was a smart run over 712m from Chasing Rachel who maintained her unbeaten record over six bends at the venue for Heather Dimmock. She has taken a chunk of time off each start that she has made, stopping the clock in 42.73, running riot against a decent field. There are still almost nine lengths to find to get to the track record but with more experience and on a summer track...who knows!
In a sprint contest, it was Sean White's Broadway Murty who got the job done from the five box. It was the widest starting position that he had won from since December 2023 when making his UK debut. Newly into the veteran stage of his career, he was helped by a pair of empty traps inside him but 15.64 was still a smart run.
The first open on the card went to Frank Gray's Makeit Home who showed the best early gears to get herself off the mark at the second time of asking. She produced a decent 29.20 effort after running in a graded sprint on her opening start.
Twinkle brings up a hat-trick of Oxford wins
There was a single open race at Oxford but that was enough to see Alright Twinkle bring up a hat-trick of 450m wins for David Lewis. She turned handier this week than she did seven days ago but still took a while to pick up the leader. Once she had got to within hailing range, it was all over as she powered clear by two and three-quarter lengths.
Valley doubles for Darch and Mortimer
Ceri Mortimer has only had five runners at Valley so far in 2026, winning with four of them including both that the kennel ran in opens yesterday. Cara Trixie picked up the first of them, the May 24 pup making her UK race debut after a single start in Ireland. Mortimer's second winner came from Gizmo Cashout who has now won four of his last five starts.
There was also a double for Charlie Darch. Pandy Sid was the first winner, picking up a first open race success to go along with the myriad of graded wins that he has at the track. Affleck Henbit was the other winner for Darch, coming from last to first to land a 460m contest. He too has plenty of graded wins at the track and was breaking his open duck.
One other open on the card was won by Mongys Sydney for Tony Morgan. At 12/1 his was the surprise win of the opens, though as a half-brother to Mongys Wild, he probably should be expected to have some ability. It was only his third start of his career, knocked over in an A6 when last seen in action prior to Christmas.
