*** Annadown Chip - 9.03 Sunderland

** Keefill Goose - 8.43 Sunderland

* Hardwick Woody - 6.43 Sunderland

He is going to be a short price but it is hard to look anywhere else for the winner of the Arena Racing Company Puppy Trophy final than Annadown Chip. He has been superb in both heat and semis of this event after a spectacular win at Towcester on Derby final night. He is one of the most exciting pups in the country and can continue to add to his resume tonight.

Things have not gone right for Keefill Goose in any of his recent three starts at Sunderland. Perhaps it is simply not his track as he has been anticipating the start and missing it as a result. We are all too aware of what he can do when he hits the lids, however, showing serious speed to the bend. With the one dog moving off into two, it could be left to Phil Milner's runner to clear his kennelmate Keefill Rocky to claim another success.

Given that he is four and a half years old, it is a surprise that Hardwick Woody is yet to break his open duck. He kept very warm company in Ireland, twice making the third round of the Irish Derby, running the likes of De Lahdedah and Cheap Sandwiches to three and four lengths respectively in his time. His recent form at Newcastle saw him make the Harry Burton trophy final, running 2025 Derby finalist Zenith Tanju to a length and three-quarters last time out. He trialled well enough here in a sprint, and today might finally be his day.
