Saturday's Tips

*** Moanteen Hatton - 7.34 Monmore

** Toddys Time - 6.29 Doncaster

* Alright Cooper - 6.10 Central Park

BetGoodwin Steel City cup runner-up Moanteen Hatton returns to his home track of Monmore this evening for his first outing there since early-September. That was a 28.33 win and it's fair to say that he is an improved performer for Richie Taberner since that success. A clear run should be all he needs to extend his perfect 3/3 record when sporting the red jacket.

There is a strong team being sent to Doncaster tonight by Tom Heilbron, with one of the most interesting of his runners being Toddys Time in a 450m maiden. He lacks a look at this track but he shaped well in a trial at Newcastle last time our beating both of his Heilbron kennelmates who line up against him here. He signed off in Ireland with a 28.37 win at Shelbourne which is serious form to bring to a Doncaster maiden.

At Central Park there is a decent looking maiden at 6.10 which ought to prove to be a strong form guide for future winners. David Lewis has Alright Cooper in here, making his English race debut after some smart trials which include a 29.24 on his first look here. He is entitled to come on for that experience, another to have signed off in Ireland with a slick run, his coming at Tralee where he stopped the clock at 28.06, the fifth fastest time of the year, with one his rivals tonight setting the fourth quickest, Bowmers Bullet. Paul Young's runner lacks a look at this track so Alright Cooper gets the vote.
