A draw in two is a slight difference for Brunch Pal to overcome but he has been so impressive in his last two wins that it shouldn't matter. He beat a decent rival in Racenight Mikey at Central Park on Cesarewitch final night, with subsequent track record breaker Burrows Charm further back, before his heat win here in a decent 35.24. He is a short price but he can continue his winning spree for Dave Lee.
The 575m trip has stretched Tally Ho Socks the twice that he has tried it so far but with the greatest respect to his rivals tonight, this is his easiest opportunity. He kept Out The Blue honest to the fifth bend on his most recent start in the opening round of the Essex Vase despite not coming away. That bitch led up the final which shows the pace of this lad to that point. He was picked up by strong stayer The Other Winx in his other run but can make it third time lucky tonight.
Sams Magic came on plenty for her first race around here, finding 26 spots. She went backwards on the sectional on a quicker track and found a little bit of trouble, so it is easy to think that she has a similar chunk still to come when she does everything right. It looks like she can lead up the pair that she has to battle on the inside and anything like a clear run should be enough to see her score.
