Thursday's Greyhound Racing Tips - 5 November 2026
There is no racing this evening due to it being bonfire night, so our tips come from the backend of the morning card from Valley where there is some open class action.
Thursday's Tips
*** Face The Storm - 12.29 Valley
** Ashway June - 1.54 Valley
* Droopys Edit - 1.03 Valley
The Star Sports Welsh Derby champion Face The Storm is back in action at Valley this afternoon and he can pick up where he left off with another fluent win. There are some decent types inside him, so he is going to have to be on his toes on the run to the opening bend but he is the class act in here and can outstay his rivals when it matters.
Speaking of staying, Ashway June has been flying around the 645m distance here in recent weeks, clocking a very fast 40.01 calculated on her most recent outing, That was on -30 going, with the track record standing at 39.95, so it was a spectacular effort. She has a stronger rival to take on here in Carrick Scholsey but a repeat of that last effort sets an incredibly high standard.
On the form in the book at this track Droopys Edit has a little bit to find on a couple of his rivals over 460m this afternoon. On his form in Ireland, however, it is a very different story. His final run at Shelbourne saw him clock 28.25 beating Puppy Oaks runner-up Glengar Robin with his one before seeing of English Oaks semi-finalist Newinn Uganda. That level of form suggests he is capable of going much quicker here at some point.
