Full entry for the Ladbrokes Puppy Derby but Woltemade is not among them
There were 56 entires for the 36 spots in the first round of the Ladbrokes Puppy Derby which starts on Saturday night at Monmore, but Woltemade was not one of them.
Fenwick's Woltemade misses Ladbrokes Puppy Derby
Monmore had 56 entries for the Ladbrokes Puppy Derby which starts at the Wolverhampton track on Saturday.
A superb entry for the £20,000 showpiece over 480m, it does, however, not include Jimmy Fenwick's Arc Northern Puppy Derby champion Woltemade who has suffered a slight setback and misses the famous Category One annual.
"We're obviously disappointed for Jimmy (Fenwick) and hope to see his dog back on track soon, but we've got some fantastic pups entered and are looking forward to six really good heats on Saturday.
"We had plenty of entries again and are grateful for those and just apologise to the connections of those that missed out."
Williamson added that trainers with runners in the six Ladbrokes Puppy Derby heats can kennel between 6.45pm and 7.15pm unless they have trials earlier.
