Im Here makes his first start for Carl Jackson
Irish Puppy Derby champion Im Here makes his debut for Sunderland trainer Carl Jackson tonight.
The August 2024 son of Coolavanny Hoffa, who landed the Time Greyhound Nutrition-backed showpiece event at Shelbourne Park in July for former handler Peter Cronin before going on to reach the Irish Derby final itself, runs in the live-on-PGR Arc 450 Maiden - one of clutch of opens at the Wearside venue.
He was brought from Aidan Comerford after just 14 career starts, which leaves him still rather unexposed to kick off his time with Jackson. He has been with the kennel since the middle of September so has been given plenty of time to settle in.
Im Here has trialled in at Sunderland and Newcastle and the upcoming Premier Greyhound Classic at the Boldon track is a possible target for Im Here - and Sunderland includes trial stakes for the £20,000 event on its card tonight.
The Category One itself closes to entries on Monday. For 36 runners, heats take place next week (Friday, November 6). The semi-finals are a week later (Friday, November 13) with the final on Friday, November 20.
