Barking Mad Betting’s ever increasing popularity shows no sign of relenting with latest set of figures from You Tube and TikTok

Socia Media isn’t for everyone, and that’s fine. We all have our own likes and dislikes.

But whether it be Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, or any other social media platform, most people these days in one way shape or form seem to have at least one of those platforms that they use on a daily basis on their phone or laptops. Personally, I’m often checking in on Facebook to see what’s going on with friends and family, and then on X, I look for news on the Football and what’s going on in the greyhound racing world, as well as looking at those funny video clips that you have heard about and want to catch up on.

A well run social and entertaining social media platform can prove to be a valuable asset these days, and greyhound racing has just that with Barking Mad Betting. If you haven't heard of Barking Mad Betting, then a simple search on YouTube will take you to the page, and whole host of entertaining video betting content awaits. Be sure to click and subscribe to the page when you do.

Anyone who visited Towcester during the StarSports/TRC Greyhound Derby would have seen Ryan on the terraces with his camera, or in the betting ring placing his bets, and on occasions, even collecting a few quid!, and if you didn’t actually see him, then you would definitely have heard him, especially when one of his fancies hit the front round the opening bends, or had come from off the pace to hit the front off the last bend!

Ryan is a natural in front of the camera.

It’s not an easy thing to do, getting a camera and microphone and recording yourself knowing that people from around the world can watch on platforms such as Youtube and Tiktok and as such, you can become very self aware of what you’re saying. But Ryan doesn’t have that problem and comes across as very self confident in what he says and does, and yes, when he places a bet, it doesn’t always win, but he shakes it off and moves onto the next.

It helps make the viewing compelling

Having stood nearby Ryan on a few occasions during the Derby, I knew what he had backed pre-race as I could hear his recording. Even if I had a different interest on the race, or even with no interest at all, I’d find myself keeping an eye on his selection and watching his reaction during the race, and you can see during his recordings that the excitement and anguish is genuine. I

It’s the kind of thing that makes his recordings so popular. There have been many occasions when even if I know he had a winning or losing day, I’d still end up watching the video when produced by the superb team here at Greyhound Racing UK

Whilst it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, which of course is fine, it can’t be denied that this sort of engagement helps to promote a night out at the dogs.

Anyone who hasn’t been to a night out greyhound racing or has been thinking of doing so and ends up catching one of these videos on YouTube or TikTok in particular, may just think that it looks a good night out, with the thrills and spills of greyhound racing there for all to see and end up going for a night out with a few friends

It also can’t be denied that the Barking Mad Betting page is going from strength to strength in terms of followers, impressions and views from these videos.

For example, the latest video released on Thursday called A Day’s betting with Basher Watts, has already seen over 10,000 views on YouTube, which is a record number of views for the page for the first 17 hours 30 minutes since the release and can be viewed by clicking here

We’ve all been racing, whether it be greyhound racing or horse racing, with friends, and we have all been on the terracing or the stands cheering on our bets.

Ryan and Basher are no different, just a couple of genuine lads who love their greyhound racing and horse racing, they love a bet and they both have successful social media platforms, so they came together for a day out at Brighton Racecourse. As i said earlier, Ryan is a natural in front of the camera, as is Basher, which is what helps make their content so watchable.

I think most people, even those who aren’t too fussed about horse racing, would have seen Basher’s video back in May when he went to France with Shes Perfect to compete in the French 1000 Guineas, and having crossed the line in front, was subsequently disqualified in the stewards room. That video went viral, and again raises awareness of the sport of horseracing and Ryan is looking to do the same with greyhound racing.

For those who haven’t yet watched any of his videos on YouTube, then they are well worth a watch and there are plenty to choose from. Even if you want to watch so see him lose, which he admits himself, does happen now and then, then head to his YouTube page. Below is a list of the most popular videos since the creation of the page. These videos produce serious numbers and just highlight the popularity of Ryan and his page.

His latest video with Basher Watts as I said earlier, has already broken the record for the page and the numbers look set to increase hugely in the coming days and again, can be viewed here

Below are the figures just from YouTube alone. Over seven million impressions from the videos, and over eight hundred and thirty thousand views on the videos produced in just over three month.

It's not just YouTube that boast impressive figures. Below are the figures from TikTok, a platform which is more associated with younger people, so the content produced is proving to be popular across a whole variety of people
