Joe's Monday Tips

***9.23 Yarmouth - Maori Man (3pts) 9/4
**7.39 Yarmouth - Jess Blue (2pts) 5/2
*6.31 Yarmouth - Coillbhui Pandy (2pts) 10/11

Three selections at Yarmouth this evening with the cancellation of Nottingham’s card where five open races were taking place.

The nap of the evening is trap six Maori Man in the A2 at 9.23pm. He drops down in grade having been contesting A1s and open races over six bends and looks to have been given a chance to head back into A1 after one run in the A2 grade. He is not a dog who will be doing things early so as long as he can get a clear run out wide he can catch Good Steel and Harlequin Zapper who should take the field along.

The next best is trap two Jess Blue in the A4 at 7.39pm. Beaten when odds on in the grade three runs back, Jess Blue has been on her travels to Doncaster and Central Park in recent weeks where she has been big prices in open race company but the switch around could wake her up now back at her local track in a grade she should be winning. She should clear Bird About Town on her inside as well as Plenty Of Trend on three and there isn’t too much early out wide so she could find herself in front heading into the first bend so if she comes out of bend two in front, she will not be for catching.

The third bet of the evening is trap three Coillbhui Pandy in the A3 at 6.31pm. The lightly raced April 2023 whelp ran well on his first competitive start back since March last week when finishing second in the grade. He is capable of going to the bend quicker than he did on that occasion where a better break today would see Coillbhui Pandy lead round. He should be getting stronger now with each run under his belt so if he does manage to lead this evening, there are some strong stayers in the race including Rapido Mateo but I would expect the selection to pull far enough clear to be able to hold on in the closing stages.
