Joe's Wednesday Tips

***8.47 Yarmouth - Trumpers Bobcat (3pts) 10/3
**7.44 Romford - Piemans Angel (2pts) 2/1
*7.22 Yarmouth - Snow Patrol (2pts) 11/4

Three more graded selections this evening across the cards at Romford and Yarmouth and all in top grade A1 company.

The nap of the night runs at Yarmouth at 8.47pm. Trap two Trumpers Bobcat returned to racing two runs back when finishing second to Laugh Alot running well to be beaten half a length after an impressive 27.65 trial over C&D. He didn’t manage to follow that up last time out behind the same winner in open race company but has a chance here to lead and make all. He has blistering early pace when he gets going so as long as Trumpers Bobcat can come away running, he can go far enough clear of the likes of Back To Black to hold on when tying up late on.

The next best is trap one Piemans Angel at Romford at 7.44pm. She is another who has been running well in open race company behind the likes of Bacon Roll, Roanna Mamba and Bombay Bucks so takes a slight drop in class this evening albeit it is a strong A1. She is well drawn on the inside to turn close enough behind Burgess Coolio in trap two where she can make her move into the third bend. From there, she should prove too strong for that rival as well as Kohinoor Silky in trap five who is not guaranteed to get the clearest of runs.

The third bet of the evening is at Yarmouth at 7.22pm where trap six Snow Patrol will be looking to lead and make all. He beat Table Talk by half a length in the grade back on June 22 when leading and seeing that rival off after constant pressure throughout. I don't see any reason why that form would be reversed if Snow Patrol was to come away and lead again. He needs to clear Oh So Lucky on his immediate inside in trap five as well as Decoy Lulu in trap four, and if he does that, he can keep pulling from the front to make it back-to-back A1 successes.
