The Towcester card opens with what looks to be the best of the night in Amka Wolf. A winner in this grade on July 28, she is quickly returned to this level after a pair of runs in B3. The only other time that she has been as low as this down the graded ladder at this track saw her beaten just three-quarters of a length. Her early pace can see her quickly on top, and she can stay there.

The drop back in trip to sprints has the potential to be the making of Black Serpent. Runner-up in an open on his first try over 270m, he got a D1 win at the second time of asking last time out. A move into the white jacket might just suit him better than the blue did in his win given his middle moving, and with relatively few miles on the clock in this discipline, he has the potential to take another step forward on that form.

Longcroft Ant was a slick winner back on August 8 in this grade, fluffing the start horribly last week when we tipped him up. It is easy to put a line through that run which came on just his third start over four bends. A return to a decent exit can see him on the bunny and around in front, with progression expected on his times.
