There are some interesting trial stakes for the upcoming Arena Racing Company Puppy Classic at Nottingham this evening, with one of the best pups on show being Sean Parker's Annadown Shadow. He is already a dual Category One finalist, after just eight starts for the kennel. He has moved well in a couple of trials over this track and trip and looks to be well berthed on the inside.
Droopys Poker has not run at Nottingham since the final of the Eclipse last November, also making the decider of the Puppy Classic here last year. The fact that he has dual Cat One final form at this track certainly lends itself to expecting a big run from him on his return to Colwick Park. He has three wins in his last five starts at Sheffield, Monmore and Dunstall Park, so he is used to changing venues.
An interesting one on debut this evening is Darceys Dude. He has shown bundles of promise in trials to this point at a string of different tracks. including in a sprint at this venue. His litter brother Sleight Of Hand lit up Shelbourne in the opening round of the BOYLE Sports Irish Greyhound Derby on Saturday night, and it is now the turn of this pup to show what he can do.
