A first race at Monmore since May in a trial stake two weeks back didn't exactly go to plan for Santas Amigo but with that experience behind him, expect a far more polished display this evening. He was the star of the last couple of months of 2025 and is capable of coming away so much better than he did a week back. 

There are a string of short-priced favourites in the Golden Jacket this evening, with four priced at 1/4 or shorter. One of the two favourites that isn't odds on (at time of writing at least) is Deadly Disco. He has shown some very smart form at this track in the past and although he has a couple of strong rivals in Burrows Charm and Buddys Bullet in opposition, he can avoid any potential crowding on the inside to spring himself clear.

Texas Jack was a length and a half behind Droopys Aladdin when they met in trial stakes action last week but he found trouble around the opening bend and headed into the back four down. If he can avoid any issues this evening, he is capable of reversing that form in what looks a competitive heat.
