** Harton Whirlwind - 4.28 Towcester

Romeo Tomcat could not have done much more wrong in a solo trial if he had tried around here before racing last Sunday afternoon. He left more than four lengths coming out the traps with a stumble and then a brush of the rails at the opening bend saw him lose a little more. This is a much easier than the Select Stakes in which he was runner-up when last in action, and providing he has his sensible head on, should see these off.

The final of the BGBF Produce Stakes has Harton Whirlwind as favourite and on his runs in the opening round and the semis, he fully deserves to be. The slight niggle is that when he was in red between those two runs, it was his weakest run of the competition. That said, he picked up Romeo Astron in the final of the BGBF Puppy Cup at Dunstall Park, so even if that one leads him from two, he should be able to get the job done. 

There is a very interesting newcomer to these shores in Stitched Pockets earlier on in the card. She only ran three times in Ireland, clocking a very smart time over 550y at Tralee when winning on her final start there. Trials at Towcester have been good and suggest that she has plenty more in the tank, and she can start that with a win this afternoon.
