The Click Competitions 79th East Anglian Greyhound Derby trap draw

The Click Competitions 79th East Anglian Greyhound Derby kicks off at Yarmouth on Wednesday and the full form can be found below along with Ante-Post prices from Ladbrokes

Romeo Steel recently dipped under the track record in a recent trial before finishing down the field in the Select Stakes at Nottingham on Monday, but the Patrick Janssens runner can advertise his claims for outright success here with a dominate all the way success. Brindle Bully was knocked out of the Ladbrokes Gold Cup at the semi final stage in his last outing but he could prove to be a danger to all if up with the pace when rounding the opening bends. Burrows Charm moved well enough in a recent trial and could make his presence felt with the chance of more to come from that trial

John Lambe's Da Mighty Man has been running well at Monmore in recent weeks in victory and in defeat having shown good early pace on those occasions and it's that burst of early pace that could see him building up an early lead in this contest. Lambe has two runners in this field and his other runner Swift Underwater could be the main danger. He can show good early pace but has a tricky draw to work from though a decent break could see him qualify for the next round. Local runner Too Wright has been running well over four and six bends in recent weeks and is sure to be staying on well late over this distance so could make her presence felt at the finish.

Patrick Janssens could be on the mark again here with Not So Steady. He has won two of his last three starts when leading in the early stages and with a good draw to work from with Acejukeboxpopper likely to be heading towards the rails, then he could be away and gone if trapping well but will need to improve on a recent trial. Maxine Locke's Razldazl Myway has been off since chasing home Slick Sentinel at Hove in July but he moved well in a recent trial and could prove to be a danger to all with a reproduction of that run. Burrows Eclipse has been off since chasing home Mongys Wild in the Regency at Hove but this distance may suit him better, especially if Jason Heath's runner is able to hit the front out wide early doors

Tiffield Tarquin is capable of showing a good burst of early pace and if Roy Peckham's greyhound can produce another of his better breaks in this field, then he can hit the front early and if that's the case, then he could prove tough to reel in rounding the final bends. Crossfield Finn can prove to be hit and miss from the traps for local trainer Mark Newberry but he has the times on the clock to make his presence felt at the finsih but a decent break looks to be essential. Droopys Metaphor has a cracking draw on the rails to work from and if the Craig Morris runner can improve on a recent trial, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him qualify for the next round

Kevin Boon's Bockos Buster was denied in his hat-trick bid last time out having made all the running in his two previous victories but he looks set to get back to winning ways if able to hit the front on the run to the opening bends and could take all the beating if that's the case. Local runner Who Dares Wins has won his last three starts over course and distance and did so doing things either way, and Craig Morris will be hoping for a big run from his runner, especially drawn outside a slow starter. Da Monster lived up to his name at Oxford in early July but has done nothing wrong in trials since that indiscretion and on the clock, looks to have solid claims of lining up in the next round next week

A field of local runners line up in this final heat where the John Mullins trained Swift Depot looks to have outstanding claims of landing the four-timer in this field. He has a cracking draw out wide with Rolo Sabbath likely to be heading towards the rails on the run up giving him all the room in the world, and in that event, ought to take all the beating. Outdoor Cracker was a good winner for Erica Samuels over six bends last week but he could be the main danger here, especially if able to gain a clear run when rounding the opening bends, while Chelms Charmer is at his best when able to lead down the middle in the early stages and if able to hit the front here, is more than capable of making all the running for Craig Morris
